The Buddha Said:
Listen today, as I praise Earth Store Bodhisattva, Mahasattva, who displays an inconceivable awesome spiritual strength and compassionate power throughout the Ten Directions as he rescues and protects beings when things happen to them as they suffer.
Kshitigarbha who cares for us all,
Like the earth, bear forth all qualities.
Wish-granting jewel, who fulfills our hopes
I prostrate to the ten stages’ lord.
Leader on the path to Buddhahood
You increase the earth’s fruits, herbs, and crops.
Lord of earth, filled with diverse riches,
To you I prostrate and make this praise.
Excellent vase, wish-fulfilling tree,
Perfection’s cloud, lake of Ambrosia,
To think of you brings prosperity,
I prostrate to Compassion’s true form.
Who alone holds space’s treasury
Supreme among all enlightened ones
Bodhisattva, perform Buddha deeds
In limitless realms, to you I bow.
Boundless qualities like jewel light rays,
Put an end to this age’s decline.
By vast acts bring fourfold abundance,
Wreathed with splendor–to you I prostrate.
Supreme and foremost praised by Buddha,
To recall you brings more benefit,
Grants more wishes, than to supplicate
Samantabhadra, Lokesvara,
Manjugosha, Ajita, and more.
Buddhas’ disciples through long eons
Through my praise are one with the Buddhas,
Please grant all the splendor I desire!
May three levels’ beings all gain faith!
Lord of Earth, please care for all of them!
May riches increase & bring all joy!
Passing through stages to waking up.
