A Terma of Chogyur Dechen Lingpa
Obstacles arise on the path to enlightenment. Outer, gross obstacles are the easiest to spot: a shortage of money, a harmful person in our lives, the inability to bring about what we desire. Inner obstacles can be more subtle: the resentment we cling to, the ill-wishes that distract us, the joys that dull our fervor for practice. Secret obstacles are the subtlest of all: our identification with our thoughts as real and substantial.
Prayers such as this one clear away all these obstacles, allowing us to progress towards enlightenment with less difficulty.

Wrathful Mara Tamer–by this prayer
bless me to dispel all obstacles
whether outer, inner, or secret.
Bless me that my wishes be fulfilled.
